V-SCHOLARSHIP
The Expectations & Experience
This is an opportunity to be part of a salon and learn about V-scholarship through a one-month guided experience.
Expectations for Participants
Have read The Hexagon Salon before agreeing to participate.
Can commit to participate during a one-month period.
Willing to use app Discord.
Salons will be interdisciplinary, preferably including someone who teaches math, science, history, social science, business, and the humanities/arts. However, there most likely will be variation in the final make up each month.
When you apply to be in a salon, you will be asked for at least one focus idea.

Monthly Timeline for Participation
First day of month, blog post with voting for the month’s focus
5th day of month, voting using the STAR voting method completed
8th day, focus topic revealed by email to the group
16th day, submit, via Discord, your key idea that address each part of CORDS. Use Loopy to make the causal loop diagrams. You can just submit the URL for your saved version.
After completing CORDS, begin a Discord discussion with the salon of what a student should study from your discipline, letting the ideas from one discipline inspire related ideas from your own. Submit by the 25th day of the month.
I will organize and compile the results of CORDS and the interdisciplinary concepts recommended for understanding the focus, then put them into the next month’s blog.

A V-Scholarship Experience
Interested in trying V-Scholarship? I will keep a pool of names and each month select people from different disciplines to form a salon. Preference given to community college and undergraduate professors, but high school teachers are welcome to apply too.
