THE HEXAGON SALON

A STORY ABOUT CHANGING EDUCATION AND SOCIETY | $22.99

Undergraduate education prepares students for post-academic life, providing benefits to both society and the student. In the current version of higher education, students can fill their brains with the details they are taught, trusting they will be remembered and usable when needed. For some, this approach works, but for many it does not. Students who don’t succeed blame professors while professors believe students are responsible for their own success. Perhaps the problem is more complicated.

This genre-blending book provides an alternative perspective on how to educate. It is a fictional story that follows Marie Atrevida as she begins to question the current system and create an alternate vision. It is meant to enrich the discussions of the ways college education should change as we transition to the second quarter of the 21st century.
